When interviewed about his 9/11 World Trade Center investigation, NIST project lead Shyam Sunder admitted he had not examined the evidence of thermate in the 9/11 dust.

Then he claimed this discovery is irrelevant - even though thermate incendiary charges are designed to cut through steel like a hot knife through butter… and there is no other legitimate reason for thermate to be present in the dust.

To give more context:

THERMITE is an incendiary composed of aluminum powder and iron oxide powder that burns over 4000F when ignited, melting and cutting through steel.

THERMATE is thermite with added sulfur, which lowers the melting point of steel, enabling more effective melting/cutting.

NANOTHERMITE is thermite or thermate where the particles are mixed at the atomic scale, enabling much more powerful reactions and allowing for highly incendiary AND explosive results.

The particles found in the 9/11 dust are best described as nanothermite.
