Yesterday in Question Period, Finance Minister @BrendaBaileyBC said BC Conservatives “stood against” child care.
That’s simply not accurate.
Last fall, BC Conservatives stood up in support of Bill 19, the School Amendment Act, 2025, and voted to make it unanimous, strengthening before- and after-school child care so working families who need it most have reliable support.
Families deserve a dependable, sustainable and financially accountable child care system.
Expanding access requires realistic infrastructure planning, including smart use of public land and school board property, in order to improve accessibility and support long-term system sustainability.
A future BC Conservative government will focus support where it is needed most and strengthen B.C.’s child care framework to deliver greater stability, predictability and financial accountability for families and communities across British Columbia.
Minister Boyle, British Columbians aren’t buying the spin.
While families are priced out of the market and paying higher taxes, you’re defending a $1.3 billion taxpayer purchase of thousands of empty luxury condos.
This isn’t a housing plan, this is NDP failure and waste on full display.
Time for real solutions that actually work for the people of B.C.
Most Canadians are focused on Bill C-34. Before that it was Bill C-22. Before that it was Bill C-9.
And that is exactly the problem.
Professor of Law at Queen's University @PardyBruce just explained why fighting each bill one by one will never fix Canada. The bills are not the problem. They are the distraction. The real problem is the system that keeps producing them — a governing structure that allows elected politicians to hand unlimited power to unelected bureaucrats who answer to no one and serve indefinitely.
Until Canadians understand that, nothing changes.

A woman hiking in Canada nearly became a grizzly’s next meal and the video circulating right now is genuinely one of the most intense wildlife encounters you will ever watch - her dog is with her, a massive grizzly is right there, and somehow she kept her head together long enough for both of them to walk away breathing.
That is not a small thing. Most people talk tough until nature is standing ten feet in front of them and every instinct in your body is screaming to run, and running is exactly the worst thing you can do.
Grizzlies are built to chase, they top out over 700 pounds and can cover ground faster than any human alive. The people who survive these moments are the ones who override pure fear with pure discipline and this woman did exactly that.
If you hike, camp, or spend any real time in the wilderness - bear spray is not optional, it is the difference between a story you tell and one somebody else tells about you.
Could you have kept your cool?
Hats off to her.
A $3.5 billion bridge was cancelled. Now we hear a tunnel may cost upwards of $12 billion.
That's not progress. That's expensive incompetence.
This government really couldn’t build a hotdog stand. #BCpoli
Thank you to every B.C. Conservative member who participated in our recent leadership race. Your commitment to our party and to the future of British Columbia is deeply appreciated.
To all who voted and made your voices heard, I am truly grateful. To those who signed up but were discouraged during the process, we hear you. We are taking clear steps to ensure that every member can participate fully and comfortably in future party activities.
We are one party, united in our determination to deliver lower taxes, stronger property rights, safer communities, and real economic prosperity for British Columbians. Together, we will build the hopeful, prosperous future our province deserves.
I look forward to working with all of you as we move forward, stronger and united.
British Columbians deserve a government that helps families get ahead, not one that steps in to keep housing prices artificially high.
The NDP’s latest intervention, partnering with Ottawa to spend over a billion dollars of taxpayers’ money buying up unsold condos, guarantees that prices stay inflated instead of allowing the market to work. This does nothing to solve the real affordability crisis facing young families and first-time buyers across our province.
We need a different approach. One that cuts red tape, lowers the cost of building homes, and unleashes supply so prices can come down naturally. That is how we create real opportunity and help more British Columbians achieve the dream of home ownership.
I am ready to lead with clarity and conviction. We will put families first, protect taxpayers, and build a stronger, more prosperous British Columbia where housing is within reach for those who work hard and play by the rules.
Join me. Together, we will deliver the change our province needs.
Rohini found time to bitch about someone rebuilding our economic relationship with our neighbour, but not talk about her own NDP government cancelling the Burnaby Hospital project in her own community?
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MLA Sharon Hartwell Calls for Action on Health Crisis in Glen Vowell
Posted By MLA Sharon Hartwell & Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay
June 25, 2026
Hazelton, B.C.: Sharon Hartwell, MLA for Bulkley Valley-Stikine, is calling for urgent action from the provincial government to address the health crisis facing Glen Vowell. The small Indigenous community of Glen Vowell, also known as Sik-E-Dakh, is experiencing a state of emergency as it is being devastated by drug abuse and the healthcare system is unable to adequately respond to the community’s needs.
This crisis is symptomatic of a much larger issue impacting all of B.C. as drug and alcohol abuse are destroying lives, families and communities.
“I am once again calling on the government to provide a recovery and detox centre for Glen Vowell. The community has been asking for help, a suitable building was available, and the need is great, but so far nothing has been done,” said Hartwell. “A detox centre would be highly beneficial to the whole region, serving not only Glen Vowell but also Hazelton and all the nearby communities. Detox centres are essential to helping British Columbians suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, as they require treatment, not access to more drugs.”
The crisis has been worsened by a lack of capacity at the local hospital.
“The NDP government has neglected northern communities and failed to provide adequate healthcare,” said Hartwell. “The hospital in Hazelton, which serves five communities including Glen Vowell, is consistently at maximum capacity, and is understaffed because of housing shortages. There is also a critical lack of data and information on the causes of deaths of people in the community. Healthcare workers are doing the best they can, but they have not been given the necessary resources and support. As communities continue to grieve, it is imperative that the government act swiftly to address these issues before more people die.”
“Drug and alcohol abuse is a growing crisis in B.C.’s communities and detox centres where people can be rescued from a life of drugs, alcohol, crime, family breakdown, and destruction of human health will be a priority in a Conservative government,” said Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Leader of the Conservative Party of B.C. “It is also essential that long-neglected northern communities receive the healthcare and treatment resources they clearly need.”

They compared Vancouver to World War Z. A zombie apocalypse movie. They were being nice.
That is what the NDP think is kindness to drug addicts. It was shocking to these lovely men. We're being desensitized.
This is embarrassing.

"Leveraging innovative financial tools."
That's Mark Carney's corporate speak for bailing out developers with your money—for the reckless decisions they made.
Stop the Carney Condo Bailout.
Hey @grok,
If developers keep the profits when things go well, but taxpayers absorb the losses when things go badly, what’s that called?
Short answer. No sugarcoating.
Carney's condo bailout is the latest example of the Liberal Club taking care of themselves with your money. Sleazy Liberal insiders using political influence to get their hands on your money while you can’t afford groceries, mortgage payments, and taxes.
Fire the Club.
Let condo prices drop until young couples can afford them.
The BC NDP's entire "housing plan" is designed to trap people in forever-rentals, while corporate developers who made bad business decisions get a bailout
Zero plan to help young families buy a home and have a stake in this province
They have completely abandoned young people
What is the BC NDP Doing?
While this government touts DRIPA s7 Agreements as a successful new way of doing business, every non-Tahltan resident in BC gets a raw deal.
By requiring permission to mine, the NDP forfeit all leverage in negotiations.
Furthermore, permission is expensive.
If Eskay Creek is any indication, a 50-50 revenue share is coming between the Tahltan and the province.
🚨The government must immediately release the financial details of this agreement so the public can decide if s7 DRIPA Agreements are fair for everyone.
This government is destroying the province behind an Iron Curtain of Reconciliation.

The announcement is welcome.
But if prosecutors don't have the capacity, businesses are paying more for security, and people who need treatment still can't get it...
We're not fixing the system.
We're adding pressure to it.
