We have had inspectors in our school this week, the stress for us all has been enormous. Sleep loss, constant headaches, fear of failure. We survived, not everything teachers do is measurable. We are so tired.

I’ve left my current book at school so can’t read a chapter tonight. Trying to model reading for pleasure by reading alongside my lovely class.

@whatSFSaid I’m doing a course with the Scottish Book Trust on exactly this, celebrate and encourage comics, graphic novels, shared reading and anything that inspires children to read. It all improves literacy skills, attainment and wellbeing. Thank you from a teacher.
