MAJORITY BOYCOTTS PLENARY SESSIONS - CAYETANO
JUST IN: Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano announced on a Facebook live stream that the majority bloc will not be attending the plenary sessions as retaliation for the minority bloc's walk out on a vote pushing for online participation in the Senate on May 26.
Cayetano also alleged that the minority senators are trying to overturn the leadership in the chamber to vacate the Blue Ribbon to stop the planned hearing on Thursday.
| 📸: Cayetano/Facebook

DUTERTE STILL LEADS PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCES
Vice President Sara Duterte holds the lead in the 2028 presidential preferences with most Filipinos remaining undecided in their choice for Vice President, according to the WR Numero Philippine Public Opinion Monitor March 2026 national survey released on Tuesday.
The research institute conducted the survey through face-to-face interviews from March 10 to 17, 2026. Meanwhile, 1,455 Filipinos from across the country participated in the study, which has a ±3 margin of error.
The country could lose over P320 billion in revenue if the government suspends the value-added tax (VAT), as it could affect the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), Senate Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson said on Sunday.
