New pre-print is now up where we investigated locust gut epithelial permeability in vivo and ex vivo at low temperatures! This work is the product of part of Kaylen Brzezinski's MSc research, as well as mine. Big shoutout to a great group of people who were a part of this >>>
Postdoc position in insect physiology with a wonderful cohesive, collaborative, and supportive group of insect physiologists with great ties between academic and applied (government - USDA) research. 12/10, would recommend https://t.co/DLiNDNPdUE
A new PhD position is open in the MacMillan and Bertram labs at the intersection of nutritional ecology, integrative physiology and insect farming. Follow the link for more info: https://t.co/NoS2VO5xDm @CarletonBiology@csz_scz, @sicb_dcpb, @APS_CEPS, @Sue_Bertram
Today is the final day of the Insect Biotechnology Conference https://t.co/mvX7dku9H6. TRIA-FoR members from the MacMillan Lab https://t.co/yl3QumBb8a have been attending. @heathmacmillan
Now in @csz_scz Blog! The first in a hopefully long series about the experiences of parents and other primary caregivers in science.

#UpdatesFromTheField @jrobichaud_ (https://t.co/L8102gxQVr @Carleton_U) worked on 2 projects during the 2021 field season at QUBS! In the spring, Jess collected Northern map turtles from Lake Opinicon and analyzed data from radio tags to understand this species' wintering habits.
The EAB #biocontrol lab at USDA-ARS BIIRU in Newark, DE is hiring! Do you have a bachelor's degree or higher? Are you interested in rearing #parasitoids and running experiments? See ad for more details: https://t.co/Q5SwSX506Y
1. I’m excited to share this preprint! This work was led by Serita Fudlosid, a talented then-MSc and now-PhD student. The first product of a fruitful cricket collab between my lab and @jenni_pro! #microplastics#insects#PlasticPollution 🦗https://t.co/7oaVkSijZQ
7. Lastly, it’s important to note that just because we don’t see big effects on survival/growth doesn’t mean insects are “immune” to plastic effects at lower doses. Plastic feeding may be influencing other traits we didn’t measure. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!
