From record heat to violent storms.
Lightning struck the Eiffel Tower Saturday evening as thunderstorms swept across Paris following days of extreme temperatures that shattered heat records across France.
Health officials say the deadly heat wave is linked to at least 1,000 excess deaths over three days, with the toll expected to rise as additional data comes in.
Monday morning with the Met Office. It's getting hot in here... and hotter. Heatwaves in 2056 will reach 45 degrees in Britain. Unless we invest a whole lot more, a whole lot faster. We know the science. We have the solutions. Now to hold fossil fuel industries to account and #votegreen.

The Met Office issued a red extreme heat warning as we marked the 50th Anniversary of 1976 on Monday, where a plausible forecast for 2056 reported the UK reaching 45 degrees. This week we broke the record set in 1976 making this 2056 forecast look far closer #climate#heatwave
