Fatima, Lourdes, and Guadalupe are three of the most significant Marian apparition sites in the Catholic Church.

Fatima, in Portugal, became famous after the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917, delivering messages of prayer, repentance, and peace, along with the Miracle of the Sun witnessed by thousands.

Lourdes, in France, is known for the apparitions of Mary to St. Bernadette Soubirous in 1858, during which Mary revealed herself as the "Immaculate Conception" and a miraculous spring was discovered, leading to numerous healings.

Guadalupe, in Mexico, marks the appearance of Mary to St. Juan Diego in 1531, where she left her image miraculously imprinted on his tilma; this event played a crucial role in the evangelization of the Americas. These sites continue to inspire faith and devotion among millions of pilgrims worldwide.

Dore (1832-1883) is best known for his prolific output of wood engravings, which illustrated classic literature, including the Vulgate Bible, Dante's Divine Comedy, and Shakespeare's plays.

This painting shows Christ along with the heavenly host of angels descending into hell and permanently pushing the pagan gods to their demise.

The labeled engraving B&W image labels these pagan gods.

This scene is inspired by the Apostles Creed.

I believe in God,
