But I just think protecting real children from being sexually objectified is a higher priority than that
@DongyJammin Overall I do think this was mostly also a casualty of the wait between chapters. it caused fans to theorize about the festival for years and heighten expectations when toby never intended for it to be that huge.
I still do obviously wish it was a bigger event, but yeah.

AO3 isn't forced to host it just because it's legal. They choose to prioritize their philosophy over protecting real kids from exploitation. We are allowed to condemn that. Besides, "it being legal in the US" is one of the worst ways to determine morality.
