🚨 HUGE $XRP ADVANTAGE? 🚨
Ripple’s patented technology around the XRP Ledger could give it a major edge in blockchain-based payments.
As institutions race to modernize a global payments market worth over $150 trillion, XRP remains one of the projects to watch. 👀⚡

🚨 WHAT IF THE NEXT BARREL OF OIL IS PAID FOR, FINANCED AND TRANSFERRED ON $XRP Ledger BEFORE THE TANKER EVEN MOVES?
The Strait of Hormuz normally carries around one-quarter of global seaborne oil trade. The disruption became so serious that IEA countries committed 400 million emergency barrels, the largest collective release in the agency’s history.
The world cannot solve that crisis with a blockchain.
But it can modernise the slow financial system surrounding every shipment.
Imagine a terminal verifies one million barrels of crude. A regulated issuer creates one million digital tokens, each representing the legal right to one barrel stored at that location.
A refinery in Japan could then buy those verified oil claims without waiting for layers of banks, ownership records and payment confirmations to catch up.
The buyer locks payment.
The seller locks the oil tokens.
Once the terminal confirms loading and inspection, payment and ownership are released together.
XRPL already supports real-world asset issuance, controlled access, cross-currency payments and escrow. Its documentation even lists oil as an asset that can be represented digitally.
This is where $XRP could become powerful.
A buyer earning yen and a seller wanting dollars may not have a deep direct market. XRPL can automatically route the conversion through XRP when that path is cheaper:
Tokenised JPY → XRP → tokenised USD.
The oil still crosses the sea at normal speed.
But the money, ownership and collateral could move in seconds.
During a crisis, every barrel matters.
Every hour matters too.
CLARITY Act Aims To Hit Lazarus Crypto Networks
Sen. Cynthia Lummis (@SenLummis) is promoting the CLARITY Act as a response to North Korea's Lazarus Group, which has been linked to some of the largest crypto thefts on record.
The legislation would allow Treasury to sanction foreign crypto firms involved in illicit finance and give compliant companies legal protection when freezing suspicious transactions.
Lummis said the bill targets criminals before stolen funds can be moved.
UPDATE: A new CLARITY Act draft has been released, merging the Senate Banking and Agriculture Committee versions and adding an ethics provision for the first time.
A motion to proceed is expected Monday or Tuesday, with a possible floor vote the week of August 3.

ripple:native THE STANDARD! 💎
Congratulations to @BNYglobal on this milestone. Excited to be partnering together as $RLUSD helps support the evolution toward always-on Treasury markets and institutional digital asset infrastructure. https://t.co/a2z5vg6zQA
Stablecoins deliver the most value when they're easy to integrate into real-world financial operations.
Ripple Mint gives institutions a simpler way to access, move, and manage $RLUSD across payments, trading, and treasury workflows through both UI and APIs.
Combined with RLUSD's expanding multichain footprint—including the XRPL EVM Sidechain—we're making regulated digital dollars more accessible wherever institutions build. 💪
In 2013, @Ripple was just a payments company. Today it spans custody, payments, native stablecoins, treasury management, and prime brokerage, all under one roof.
@_JackMcDonald_, SVP at Ripple, joins Grayscale to discuss how the company is building full-stack financial infrastructure.
🚨 JUST IN: $XRP now has a legal definition in three of the world's biggest jurisdictions.
🇺🇸 United States: digital commodity, SEC and CFTC joint release
🇯🇵 Japan: financial product under the FIEA
🇷🇺 Russia: legal property for commercial and cross border use
Two of those landed in the last four months.
Add 🇧🇹 Bhutan, 🇬🇪 Georgia, 🇲🇪 Montenegro and 🇵🇼 Palau building national currencies on #Ripple's platform.
Everybody's writing it into law.
🚨 JUST IN: $XRP is the only major asset where supply can only shrink.
No mining. No staking rewards. No inflation.
100 billion was created once in 2012 and that's it, forever.
Since then: → 14.4M $XRP burned by transaction fees, permanently destroyed
→ 8M+ $XRP locked as wallet reserves, growing with every new account
Using it destroys it. Holding it locks it. Nothing can create more.
Every other asset debates its issuance schedule.
$XRP doesn't have one.
JUST IN: 🏦 Fidelity calls on the Senate to pass the CLARITY Act, saying "the time is now for clear rules of the road" to strengthen investor confidence and US leadership in global digital asset markets.
RIPPLE LAUNCHES INSTITUTIONAL RLUSD PLATFORM
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, giving institutions a single platform to mint, redeem and manage RLUSD through a web interface or API.
RLUSD’s market cap is near $1.6B, making it the ninth-largest dollar-backed stablecoin.
The focus: payments, trading and treasury operations.
Ripple holds a rare dual license covering Europe's entire payment cycle
Most MiCA-authorized firms can offer exchange or custody. @Ripple pairs its full CASP license from Luxembourg's CSSF with the EMI license it secured in February, letting European banks collect, exchange, and pay out through a single integration.
It passports across all 30 EEA countries. Roughly 283 firms cleared full authorization out of 3,000+ previously registered, with Binance among those suspending EU services. $XRP
