HEDECS is a women-led organization headquartered in Bamenda North West Region of Cameroon. It is a non- governmental, non- sectarian and non-profit oriented.
Our HEDECS Yaoundé office brought menstrual health to life for #MHDay2026! We trained secondary and university students to become peer educators, using hands-on cycle-tracking bead crafts and open story-sharing to break deep-seated taboos. #PeriodFriendlyWorld
Our SRH Focal Person & Health Officer led vital sessions on cycle tracking, hygiene management, and complications. Through Q&A and a direct distribution of sanitary pads, HEDECS is breaking the silence and fighting period poverty for incarcerated women.

As part of our ongoing mission at the Bamenda Central Prison, we recently celebrated a major win for human dignity: the official handover of birth certificates to 20 inmates.
Among those receiving their birth certificates were women, juveniles, and a child. To them, a birth certificate is not just a document, it is a key to the doors of society, granting them the right to sit for exams, access healthcare, and reintegrate into their communities.
An Extraordinary General Assembly held on December 27, 2025, Health Development Consultancy Services (HEDECS)officially announced its transition from an association to a fully recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
