The collective negative emotional reactions on Twitter have very similar word use patterns.
Through Hedonometer’s lens: The story is the same.
A few (of a long list of) caveats: Through Twitter, the Hedonometer gives a “distant measure” of a population. We’re grouping tweets by language only, not geography. And Twitter is a complicated space of people and not-people.
