why every EVERs need to call out @BELIFTLAB for their delayed US shipment:

i understand that ‘DEATH OF ME’ is a monday release, which caters to domestic charts, but shipping his albums in the US two tracking weeks after his comeback is something my mind genuinely can’t grasp. what was the reason for this much delay?

to put things into perspective:

the ideal shipment of his album should be on the same day as release, or september 14 at the latest. per luminate, online physical sales are logged 3 days after the reported ship date, while online physical sales are reported on a tuesday–monday schedule.

streams from 9/7–9/10 will count toward the 9/4–9/10 billboard tracking week. however, if US album shipments don’t begin until 9/18, there would be no online physical album sales from these delayed shipments contributing to either the first tracking week (9/4–9/10) or the second tracking week (9/11–9/17).

that means two tracking weeks of potential US album sales are being left unmaximized, while streams are accumulating without physical sales supporting them. physical album sales from these shipments would only begin being logged around 9/21, putting them into the 9/18–9/24 tracking week.

for an artist making his first solo album debut, why are we allowing two weeks of potential US album sales to go unused when those physical sales could have been supporting his streams and helping catapult him onto the billboard 200 from the very beginning?

catering to a domestic release should not be a reason for his company to not to the bare minimum for the global chart, especially if there’s a group of people (EVERs) behind his back who is willing to support him every step of the way!
