Becoming blatantly obvious a select group of Premier League clubs have created a system of paying inflated fees to one another to bypass PL/UEFA's financial rules.
It has been happening for years & in the normal world would be fraud, but in football? It's just another day.
Yeah… this is the lowest point the Premier League has ever been.
Tonight, the PFA just lost all its relevance and credibility.
Giving Bruno Fernandes the PFA POTY award is practically the lowest point the Premier League has ever seen.
This award used to be reserved for great players who led their teams to titles, but they’ve now decided to give it to one of the worst team players in football.
a sad state of affairs. there is something very strange about the lack of interest though. is it his wages? you're telling me wingers like Omari Hutchinson, Garnacho, Jamie Gittens, Brennan Johnson are going for £40m and nobody is interested in a player with Martinelli's career?
In a league where they moan about Arsenal’s goals from set pieces, they go ahead to crown Bruno Fernandes the best player in the league for breaking the assist record.
Half of those assists was from set pieces by the way.
The Arsenal hate is REAL.
This is the guy who’s going to win Ballon D’Ors back to back; this sport is finished.
Guys like Kane, Mbappe, Rice etc play week in week out in tough leagues (bar Kane) only for the ultimate football award to be won by a guy who starts football in March.
This doesn’t make sense to me.
If the PFA awards were just the PL I’d accept it since Bruno’s campaign was special individually.
However, it is ALL club competitions. Bruno didn’t even play in Europe and went out early in both the domestic cups.
Declan Rice played 18 more games, had both a special PL and UCL campaign along with a strong Carabao run.
Should in all honesty be quite a clear cut winner.
