heechul in the 2000s and 2010s was doing more to support gay people than idols do even in 2026 but stan twitter will still try make you believe he's a queerbaiter who faked being gay to get closer to women and is secretly homophobic
HEECHUL explains the lyrics of the upcoming SuJu-83z song ONSAEMIRO, writing it with LEETEUK in mind.
"It's about guys' friendship... Yes, it's about bromance ... [but] if you think of the lyrics as romantic love for someone else, it makes sense too."
Long-time ELF fans probably won’t believe this even if they see it, right? Yes, it really happened. We, who have nothing in common except our age, are releasing a duet album. Over time, I realized that friendship and destiny don’t always require similarity—sometimes attraction comes from being completely different.
The turning point was my talk show, (Talk Concert) in 2019. When I was younger, I felt happy just standing on stage, but starting from “Black Suit” in 2017 it became difficult. Then in 2019, while hosting my solo talk show, I felt like vomiting, my mind went blank, and I broke out in a cold sweat… I was told these were panic attacks. Because of my personality, I didn’t want to talk about my condition—you know how much I hate the phrase “I’m in pain,” right?
Anyway, from that moment I canceled my solo album plans and thought my career as “singer Kim Heechul” had completely ended. But while preparing for Super Junior’s 20th anniversary album, I gained strength again from the members and fans. Maybe I’m indecisive… but the stage still made me happy. However, I still tremble and can’t stand alone yet.
Then, amid the members jokingly suggesting, “Why don’t you two try working together?”, I thought, “Oh? Should I try it?” And that’s how we got here. I’ll work happily and enjoy it. There’s no more space left to write, so I’ll stop here! Thank you!
Over the span of more than 200 days on our 20th anniversary tour, countless moments came and went—each one leaving its own quiet mark on our hearts. And in the end, we were able to bring it all to a warm and beautiful close.
To every ELF who walked this long journey with us, through every stage, every song, every fleeting second—I offer my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude.
And now, as we stand at the edge of our final encore, I promise this is not an ending, but another beginning.
Soon, I will return to you with my long-awaited 10th anniversary solo album, filled with music that carries pieces of time, memory, and everything I’ve wanted to share with you.
So stay with me—just a little longer.
Hold onto the anticipation.
Because I’ll be back, right where we belong.
I love you. @YESUNG_smtown@SJofficial
