all of us would have big boxes and big paper bags, like para kaming nanalo ng grocery package 😆
i wonder if he experienced it too. he’s a 2007 baby, right? he was prob still in daycare when we visited there
i only ever got the chance to enter ayala alabang whenever lasalle zobel invited our school to bring some grade 3 students (was one of them) over to visit and engage and play with their students
sanghyeon predebut story with his friend in philippines! 🥺
🐶 : every weekend, i’d take 500 pesos to a shopping mall called ATC, like a festival mall. because i was a kid then, i didn’t have much money. if i didn't buy toys, it was enough, but I loved toys, so i always went to the shopping mall, sometimes to burger joints, or to places that sell shumai
🐶 : i especially loved shumai when i was little. i’d put something like chili oil on top, a chili and garlic sauce with chili peppers, and then pour soy sauce over it. and i’ve always liked sour flavors, so i’d squeeze lemon on top too. we always start our trip like this (him and his bsf)
🐶 : well… on weekends, we always meet up and eat shumai (steamed dumplings). there’s a toy store right next door. we’ll go in, and i’m not kidding, we can spend two hours there. ‘wow, they released a new lego!’ ‘wow, so cool!’ ‘do you want to buy this?’ ‘of course, but it's too expensive’ ‘yeah, we need to save up for months’ that’s how we talk.
🐶 : sometimes i really wanted to buy toys. i eben still remember the one that i really wanted, but it was around 470 pesos. my budget was only 500 pesos. if i bought it, i wouldn't be able to eat, drink, or watch a movie all day. but even so, i bought it anyway. but that, i didn't do anything else that day. the toy i bought was a dinosaur egg toy. when you open it, a dinosaur comes out. i just wanted that so much that i abandoned all my other plans for the day and chose the dinosaur.
🐶 : and then... i lived in a village near that shopping mall. it was several kilometers from the main entrance to my house. Iit took about 10 minutes by car because the village was so huge. but we had a lot of time and nothing much to do. since it was a 10-minute walk, we third or fourth graders walked every day. even though we lived there, but it was a bit dangerous for a child. but we liked to chat as we walked, so we just walked back and forth every day
i’d say they are rich rich! i was always included among those students who got to visit their school, and whenever we’d go home, our service shuttle would be full as hell because of all the gifts we received from their students.

kim youngmin (seventeen’s former vocal trainer) mentioned dokyeom on a podcast! #도겸
👤 i can actually call them hyung.. seungkwan hyung and dokyeom hyung! the very first group i worked with for their debut was seventeen. back then, i honestly just wanna go home after work. their schedules were absolute killer. i followed them everywhere, pre-recordings, post-recordings, everything. while they’re preparing for live performances/broadcasts, i followed up on their every schedule. i'd warm up their voices and massage their shoulders. one time, i was massaging a member’s shoulders then suddenly all 13 members lined up. but back then, i really enjoyed and had fun working with them
🎙️ after their debut, does seventeen members still keep in touch with you?
👤 i have to message them first for them to reply occasionally
🎙️ at least they still reply to you
👤 i’m thankful, they’re my hyungnims
