@ICuvula@pcshipp bullshit. if it was a new app, you first have to beta test it with 12 people for 14 days and then, when that's done, it still takes days to release. it's nuts.
@alejmilian@pcshipp nonsense. "approval of account"? you mean creating a developer account? no. there is no approval. if you pay the fee, your account is approved immediately. something else must be going on.
@mauscoelho@pcshipp doubtful. check your submission again. I remember once thinking I had submitted the app to the App Store, but, in fact, I hadn't. Some of the terms they use were confusing to me. Once I went back, I realized and submitted it. Have another look.
@pcshipp bullshit. an android app needs 12 beta testers and 14 days before you're even allowed to publish the app. 34+ hours is less than two days. that's a little on the high sided for a *new* app, but at least you didn't have to wait TWO FRIGGIN' WEEKS *once* you had 12 beta testers.
@googleplaybiz "you said your app uses an advertising ID, but you didn't include some file." Me: change setting to say I don't use an Ad ID. "Incomplete Ad Declaration" -> "Update declaration" -> "Does your app use Ad ID?". No. It already says no. so now what?
@businessbarista yeah, I agree: smaller files with higher quality is so annoying. not to mention bursts, Live Photos, depth maps, etc. Why couldn't they do all these things that JPEG doesn't support in JPEG?
luckily, I only bought this phone because YOU FORCED ME TO as part of the development process, and so there is nothing on the phone and I'll just erase it and re-install , but just let me again go on record saying: GOOGLE DEVELOPMENT FUCKING SUCKS.
@googleplaybiz you have got to be kidding me. Have you actually ever TRIED your own process for submitting an app? You have the most Rube Goldberg way of doing it. It's like whoever designed it is paid by how many screens there are and how many buttons Ih ave to press...
I'm the only one on this phone! but for good measure, I removed my account and added it back. still can't fucking install MY OWN APP on MY OWN PHONE!!!!
#AndroidDevelopmentSucks 01: A small map view showing a particular location requires an API key and jumping through about a dozen hoops. iOS? Import MapKit, call Map() with center, span, region, annotation and done.
@SebJVidal@aldoblack2 He didn't say Swift. He said "SwifyUI", which is obviously a ytpo for SwiftUI. Not sure what you mean by "ships with the OS", though. You have to download Xcode to play with SwiftUI.
@vibhuuuus@swyx USB-C spec is very simple: it's nothing more than a shape, just like USB-A, USB-B, USB-micro and USB-mini. The internal electronics is a whole different story.
@henophilia @swyx the cables that Mac provides are high quality. they can be used to charge your laptop, or to charge your phone from your laptop. or connect a USB drive. etc.
