#SpotifyWrapped nails it: data โ identity โ social currency.
Web3 projects already have the first part. The upside is in shaping that data into identity.
Devconnect thoughts as the week progresses:
- neobanks, stablecoins, payment cards, perp dexes, prediction markets are the new L1s, so many launches
- content creators and creation saturation
- private dinners saturation
- summits are becoming more niche: vaults, stables, staking, marketing, data, etc
- @hypepartners has had it's biggest activation this week across covering 8 cafes, 4 content creator workshops, an invite-only candlelight concert - you don't need massive budgets, i think many would be surprised at costs relative to roi here
- more protein, less carbs at events please (a branded protein bar as merch would be a hit)
- esim data cards would also be a merch hit
- saturation of merch, side events, now private dinners is leading to more experiences (shoutout to @cryptokwueene, our events team, and @arlery for making the beautiful candlelight concert happen)
- saturation of merch is also leading to personalized and exclusive gifts
- some of my best conversations are happening just sitting in cafes and in speaker lounges
- go to events outside your audience, friends, and domain expertise (shoutout @Dune team for putting on a great event that was DuneCon, learned a lot from some of those keynotes)
- more keynotes on token launch learnings an failures pls + why (not sure if i have consent from @akachacolate to share but there were some bangers in that deck)
- paid ads, incentives design, attribution growth experiments are making a coming back, tybg
- orderflow maxxing and becoming the everything app is now top of mind for biggest protocols
- as vault design and yield strategies persists, issues with risk are becoming more apparent.. who is solving this and who can i learn from on how tracing rwas will work onchain when they become more of the underlying for scale?
- if you're benchmarking yourself to hl and within ct only, think bigger
- new yorkers flying 10 hours to meet up in a bar that simulates the nyc subway is amusing to me
