The relationship between the BCTF and NDP has been strained and difficult over the years. The NDP are the ones that brought in provincial bargaining to thwart the power of the BCTF

@keithbaldrey I don’t think the BCTF has said they want to keep the restored language. They have proposed massive changes to it at the bargaining table. BCTF and BCPSEA have a fundamental disagreement on how to go about dealing with class composition

@keithbaldrey If that happens there are still 20 districts with no composition language and 5 with no class size language (like now). I think it could get done with minimum language agreed to in those districts

@NadiaInBC @BlairKing_ca @keithbaldrey There are so many myths in here. Teaching students is only part of the job. Teachers must plan, assess, report and more. Plus I pay about 12% of my pay into my pension every pay cheque. Also, time off is just time for me to plan and prep - so I work!
