Being the eldest daughter means something inside you automatically gets irritated when someone is being unnecessarily incompetent. You were raised to be capable and never given never given room to be incompetent The daughters who know get it.
If a group keeps you wound up all the time, it may be time to ask yourself why you’re staying. “I’m fighting for it!” Perhaps but the point at which your resentment toward many of them begins to choke out your love, you already lost. Unless, of course, what you love is to fight.
It is 100% men's fault. Men can choose who we look at. We can choose how long we look. We can choose to engage in our thoughts when they pop into our heads or move past them. We can choose to objectify women, or see them as God does.
Stop spending so much time and energy trying to make LGBTQ people "not LGBTQ".
Jesus never asked you to do that.
Instead, try making:
hungry people less hungry,
hurting people less hurt,
lonely people not feel alone.
Jesus told you to do that.

@Eric_Conn Maybe why don’t we stop treating your wives and daughters like they’re your property + start treating them like images of God with their own brains and autonomy?
Imagine if we Christians pursued dismantling systems of poverty, barriers to healthcare, demanded livable wages, paid family leave, affordable childcare, and ruthlessly worked to end violence with the same passion so many of us pursue winning a “culture war.”
maybe we’d solve some problems if men in the church stopped talking about women to women and actually started listening & believing those women when those women speak
Folks claim I'm not a Christian because I don't "follow God's commandments about gender roles".
These same folks are putting gender roles higher than Christ... last I checked, putting worldly things like gender roles above God is idolatry. That's actually breaking a commandment.
People use the Bible and their beliefs to hurt you.
They don't think they're being cruel. They think they're being righteous.
They think they must sanctify you.
But I believe some people love hurting you and they've found a holy excuse to do so.
Have you experienced this?

Seminary/college profs: tell your women students when you see ministry giftings in them. Be specific, affirm them, & help them choose a seminary. Offer to write a recommendation. I can't tell you how many women pastors I know who had little support and too many men shaming them
