@DaileKelleher Melbourne Museum defo better (& much cheaper) than the Aquarium for a 3 year old for a wet weather activity! There’s the new Triceratops there at the moment too. The Wilds at Rising at 5pm is achievable with a 3 yo too.

Thinking about all the discourse around returning to school while families with kids in childcare were left to send them there through the entire Omicron wave with not a single RAT, charged $1500 a month for the privilege and teachers paid much less than primary counterparts

@georgiedent ECEC, educators and families with kids in ECEC have fallen through the cracks the entire way through the pandemic. There needs to be a clearer strategy and supports to keep ECEC open given how critical it is to our economy and the well-being of kids.

@georgiedent Yes - being in the small % of working parents, working demanding jobs at home with toddlers still excluded from day care in Melbourne, its hard to muster any enthusiasm for increased freedoms when our day-to-day is still completely impossible.
