How merciful is Allah
He watches you disobey Him, so He causes regret in your heart. Then He inspires you to seek His forgiveness so He may forgive you. Then He becomes pleased with you, and He changes your bad deeds into good deeds.
One last day of being this exact age. What a quiet little milestone. Here’s to noticing it before it becomes a memory.
Feels like a good day to be a little extra grateful.
Last year, i welcomed my birthday with tears.
I carried more weight than hope, and i couldn’t imagine feeling any different.
This year feels quieter. Softer.
I used to think this way, too.
Then i realized people can’t be expected to understand what i never communicate.
Sometimes a simple, “i’m just quiet today, it’s not about you,” is kinder than expecting them to guess.
But this time, i said it for all the right reasons.
Out of gratitude, out of peace, out of finally seeing life a little more gently than before. From realizing that perhaps life has been kinder to me than i once believed.
Life has a way of making you sit in complete silence and wonder.
You always wonder, whether for good reasons or bad ones.
You just sit there and think, wow… after that one realization finally hits you.
i’m a different person in everyone’s story. each person carries their own version of me. i felt free the moment i stopped trying to show my truest self to those who don’t want to see. it’s sad, but it’s the peak of my freedom.
And then one day, she woke up rested, not the kind of rest sleep gives you, but the kind that comes from knowing she is in the right place, held by the right hands.
No fear of tomorrow, no heaviness sitting on her chest each time she breathed.
Perhaps i will never fully understand why it happened.
But i can choose to move through life more aware, more merciful, more thankful, and more accepting of all that it asks of me.
Elhamdoulellah🤍
Today marks six months since something changed me in ways i still struggle to put into words.
Strangely, it does not feel like months ago; it feels like last week, like something my heart is still trying to catch up with.
Yet i remain grateful for yesterday, for today, and for every day still waiting for me ahead.
Because with each passing day, i learn a little more to grow, to heal, to exist more gently within myself, and to truly live rather than merely survive.
