If UCT thinks they have solved their problems by paying Mamokgethi Phakeng R12-mill to go, they are making a big mistake. As someone else already said: UCT does not have a Phakeng problem, it has a massive wokeness problem. Go-woke-go-broke. This problem will keep recurring.
"Community masking failed. The only people who saw it coming were people who read all the pre-pandemic randomized evidence, who read all the RCTs during COVID, and people who didn’t lose their marbles in times of crisis." - @VPrasadMDMPH

BREAKING: A meta-analysis conducted by the Cochran Institute — considered the “gold standard of evidence-based reviews” — has concluded that masks and even N95 or P2 respirators offer little to no protection against COVID-19.
We were right.
Now, almost 3 years later, the small differences in excess age standardised mortality rates between Sweden and even the best performing European nations vindicates the Swedish approach (at least for Sweden).
I'm surprised they even allow mathematics to be taught at university anymore, it's too factual, they can't twist it around into some type of a political agenda and brain wash people with it.
Let's add, "...for belittling you for standing up for what you believed in, for shaming your children in front of their peers, for mocking you because 'you're not a doctor' and implying your knowledge means nothing." Many I know have had to grow thick skins in the last 2 years...
"Sorry for the lockdowns, for separating you from loved ones, for the terrible healthcare costs, for the lost education, for the financial burden. Sorry." - Dr. @JulesSladden (on behalf of her profession)

I read initial scientific report of @pfizer RCT. Evidence for harm was clear; evidence for benefit was trivial. How anyone who subsequently promoted "vaccination" could not see it, meant either that they did not read it; or they were heavily conflicted; or zero critical thinking.
PANDA, which preceded even the GBD, shown to be right (again) almost 2 and a half years later. A real shame that it was necessary to impoverish entire populations and harm children to get to this point merely because “experts” were too hubristic or proud to admit they were wrong.
PANDA to Pres. Ramaphosa, 4 May 2020: "Consequences of lockdown should be measured against the economic costs & second order impact. The current response to C19 is exhausting the engine of our economy so fast that by the time the statistics emerge it may be too late to rectify."
Disappointed to see favourite SA brand @CastleLagerSA actively promoting unhealthy attitudes. Pushing against everything you've been fighting so hard for @ProfTimNoakes
Yesterday I spoke to a well-known paediatrician. For 2 years she's shouted about the need for us all to wear masks, including kids in school. And now she's expressing her delight at the fact that her young child no longer needs to wear one. What changed?
Yet for 2 years our kids, including those who are immunocompromised, were forced to cover their faces with dirty rags for hours on end. Many tried to speak out ... apparently they weren't following The Science?
A new study finds various bacterial and fungal colonies on 😷 including "several pathogenic microbes." The authors "propose that immunocompromised people should avoid repeated use of masks to prevent microbial infection." https://t.co/CQ9p0OV2oD
Been with my family on vacation all week. Haven’t spent one second watching or reading or talking about or thinking about the news. We mock ignorant and uniformed people but there’s really a lot to be said for this lifestyle honestly.
Where’s the “we follow the science” crew who labelled us “anti-science” for asking questions about most things C-19. Well, the science has predictably reverted to basics:
- lockdowns were unscientific
- masks don’t stop respiratory viruses
- C-19 💉 is still experimental
🤷🏾♂️
@moozir @QueenJZ2 @WOOLWORTHS_SA I actually asked, to make sure. Spoke to two members of staff. The cashier I spoke with told me “they said we all have to”. Let’s hope it’s temporary and can be a choice from now on, that would be first prize 👍🏻
This is why you need to support anyone challenging the amendments to the Health Act as well as the total abuse of the Disaster Act. These people can not let go of the power. This fight is far from over.
