@notgiannei the ad model will become very similar though - instead of buying top search placements, companies will just buy higher relevance for their content to be quoted and the ability for their brand to be mentioned
@notgiannei And that would be ignoring all alternatives that agents are already using (Brave & Perplexity API, Exa, Parallel, etc.)
Ofc it would bre the ad monopoly, if human users use different frontends like OpenAI, Perplexity, etc.
@notgiannei but for most machine searches, there was never a monetizable intent to begin with (coding context, sales research, etc.) - so just from more machines browsing the web, Google won’t be hit
