i love this quote.
"most people do not think. they repeat. they adopt the opinions of those around them, wear them like borrowed clothes, and call it a worldview."

there will never be anyone like you. anyone with the same ideas, thought process, upbringing, fears, truths, dna, passion, beliefs, values and much more. why hiding yourself from the world when you are very special in your own way.
@akinkunmi how does he know it is 0.0000276% you may ask.
well since there are 10 distinct number written down and the total number of ways it can be taken is 10! i.e permutations.
10!, which basically means 10×9×8×...1.
and since there's only one correct sequence i.e 1.
we have 1/10! .

i listen to music to escape my own reality. not even for the artist or the beat, just to feel something different from the constant pressure and lack of control in the real world.

The key to happiness - always leave the house. You need to force yourself to get out. (Especially when you don’t want to.) Get dressed and go. WFH was (one of) the worst things to happen to our generation. You gotta go meet people. In real life. Life happens outside the four walls of your apartment. I remember a sober person said to me once “life happens at the bars.” And it’s funny bc it’s true. And even though he didn’t drink, he went out to see music and meet people and talk to the bartenders and the locals. Life happens in cafes and bars and gyms and bookshops and parks and sidewalks and vintage stores. Life happens in the late night talks in the car parked in a sketchy lot somewhere you couldn’t get back to if you tried. It happens on the trails and in the oceans and in taxis and on the subway. Get out. Talk to people. Make friends. Then bring them home. Cook them a nice meal. Play cards. Keep the door unlocked. Come and go as you please.

in order to stop something you have to know the root cause.
the question to ask is, why do i get addicted to my phone. is it to escape boredom, or to relax.
then you can substitute your answer to a healthier addiction.
you cannot be bored as a human being when there are many untouched skills to learn, many books to read, many people to talk to, many instuments to learn, many podcasts to listen to, my articles to read.
boredom exists only when you do not wish to grow.
