Basically, X now wants to reward original posts, articles, images and videos.

If you’re already monetized, you’ll continue earning until September 7, with the final payout expected around September 11.

But from September 8, everyone will need to apply again for the new program.

The main requirements are:

- 500K verified Home Timeline impressions in the last 90 days
- 500 verified followers
- Active X Premium
- Regular original content

Dropping the requirement from 5M impressions to 500K is honestly a big improvement. But one part still doesn’t make sense to me:

Only views from Premium users will count toward your earnings.

Like, if your post gets 1M views but only 10K are from Premium users, you’ll only earn from those 10K views. That just feels weird to me.

The 500K requirement is much better, but I still feel all real views should count in some way.
