In my first television media chat, thanks to Trust TV, I highlighted one of the major setbacks facing Nigerian cadets: the lack of cadetship placements. This remains a serious challenge for many young Nigerian sailors, particularly independent cadets. Many have been searching for cadetship opportunities for four to five years without success. The unfortunate reality is that they cannot move forward in their careers without completing their cadetship. To the Minister of Blue Economy, @GboyegaOyetola and DG of NIMASA @MobereolaD, what concrete steps are being taken to help cadets secure cadetship placements? We have many enthusiastic young cadets whose dreams are slowly fading away due to the lack of opportunities.
