The US-Iran War is being normalized in that investors are pricing in an expectation that it will remain an extended conflict similar to the Russia-Ukraine war.

This means that oil logistics may remain constrained in the Strait of Hormuz and a possible extension to the Bab-el-mandeb strait (Red Sea).

This implies consistently higher energy prices that raise inflation in Kenya. This would think our foreign currency reserves and force the government to increase taxes (kill demand) and raise interest rates (to reduce inflation).

This is the spelling of recession, often the cloud before the rain; an economic depression.

So, if you want to buy a KGB, why would you jump the gun and buy at the current rate when rates could go up by 3-5% in the next year?

The only safe bet is at the end of Trump's reign as US President..

Unless he chickens out and admits defeat by the Iranians.. something Uncle Sam isn't used to doing.
