Couldn't agree more! I struggle to allow myself the time for care and well-being while building the work and team of @fair_wl. It's one of my biggest #feminist leadership dilemmas: to get the balance right between the work I care deeply about while accepting my own limitations.
There’s nothing ‘fluffy’ about well-being and organisational care. Yes values matter but a political, power lens is so important, too. Leaders can learn a lot from feminist approaches to care 💪🏽

The community @WEIconnect regularly asks women about their experience and vision. I tried to reflect on why women stay silent and what happens when we speak up.

Even though the @UN and @UN_Women just hosted #GenerationEquality featuring strong commitments on #feminist leadership, the process for a new ED does not reflect #feminist values of transparency, participation and representation.
As the selection process for the next @UN_Women Executive Director continues, members of civil society came together to voice concerns with the process and set out demands for the remainder of the process.

I am torn: While I agree that we have to move away from stereotypical attributions about male and female leadership, representation still matters and if we pretend gender does not matter we make women invisible and risk unequal decision-making structures and processes.
