Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"This morning, there was a serious security incident on a flight from Dubai to Israel. Almost all the passengers on the flight were Israelis. During the flight, as they approached the country, one of the pilots stabbed the second pilot, and apparently tried to crash the plane with everyone on board.
I spoke with one of the Israeli passengers. He told me that the plane went into a spin and began to dive. He told me that, somehow or other, he managed to break into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and that together they neutralized the stabbing pilot while he was trying to sabotage the plane's systems. Another flight crew on board entered the cockpit and managed to stabilize the plane.
I salute these heroes, who displayed exceptional resourcefulness and courage. They saved many lives. They prevented a huge disaster.
The plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. All passengers are out of danger. The stabbing pilot was arrested and is currently being interrogated by the Saudi authorities.
We are maintaining constant communication with the relevant authorities to ensure the ongoing well-being of the passengers and their safe return home.
I have instructed the security services to prepare for additional potential threats.
We are holding ongoing situation assessments, and we will update you as the situation develops."
"My goal is to light candles in the darkness as much as I can."

"I get beat up for this all the time."
Jay Leno says he refuses to turn his comedy into a partisan political lecture, arguing his job is to make audiences laugh, including people who support President Trump.
The former "Tonight Show" host says he and Johnny Carson "prided ourselves on making fun of both sides equally," and he continues performing for audiences with a wide range of political views.
We will restore the statue and replace the signs, but we are also reviewing the footage of the incident and are working with law enforcement to identify who did this and hold them accountable.
But vandalism like this is not funny, it’s diabolical. The incident happened in the middle of the night because evil never sleeps. Beyond spray painting on the neck and face, they made the intentional decision to cross out the name of Jesus on a nearby sign.
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”
John 15:18
I am very proud to be Jewish.
If you hate the Jews, or if you are Jewish and hate your own people, please do me a favor and unfollow me so I can make sure to unfollow you.
If you claim to be a Christian yet hold hostility toward Jewish people, you are almost certainly not a genuine follower of Jesus Christ.
Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew by birth, ethnicity, culture, and religion. He was born into a Jewish family in Judea under the Law of Moses. His mother Mary was Jewish, His earthly father Joseph was Jewish, and He was circumcised on the eighth day according to Jewish covenant practice (Luke 2:21). He attended synagogue, observed the Jewish festivals (Passover, Sukkot, etc.), quoted the Hebrew Scriptures constantly, and declared that He came not to abolish the Law or the Prophets but to fulfill them (Matthew 5:17). The entire New Testament presents Him as the promised Jewish Messiah—the “Son of David,” the “Lion of the tribe of Judah.”
His first disciples were all Jews. Peter, James, John, Andrew, Matthew, and the rest of the Twelve were Jewish men. The earliest church was a Jewish movement centered in Jerusalem. The apostle Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament, was a Pharisee of the tribe of Benjamin who never renounced his Jewish identity; he called the Jewish people his “kinsmen according to the flesh” and expressed deep anguish for their salvation (Romans 9:1–5; 10:1). The first thousands of converts at Pentecost were Jews and Jewish proselytes (Acts 2).
Christianity did not begin as a rejection of the Jewish people. It began as the fulfillment of God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David. The Old Testament that Jesus and the apostles treated as the inspired Word of God is the Jewish Bible. Gentile believers were later grafted into that same olive tree (Romans 11); they were never given permission to curse or despise the natural branches.
To hate or systematically oppose Jewish people while claiming to follow Jesus is therefore a contradiction of the very identity of the One you claim as Lord. It severs the historical and theological roots of the faith. Scripture itself warns against arrogance toward the Jewish people (Romans 11:18–21) and commands love of neighbor—which necessarily includes the people from whom the Messiah came according to the flesh.
A true believer in Christ cannot coherently despise the Jewish people without denying the Jewishness of Jesus, the apostles, the early church, and the entire biblical story that leads to the cross and empty tomb.
25 years ago at 8:46 a.m., the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The second plane struck the South Tower 17 minutes later at 9:03 a.m. Nearly 3,000 people were killed that day in New York City, at the Pentagon, and on the four planes that were hijacked—fathers, mothers, children, grandparents, first responders, members of law enforcement and the military. Our nation and this world have never been the same.
I was at Ground Zero in the aftermath, and it’s impossible to describe the tremendous amount of pain that I witnessed. President George W. Bush declared a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance and asked my father @BillyGraham to address the country from the National Cathedral. During that service, my father said, "We’ve always needed God from the very beginning of this nation. But today we need Him especially. We’re involved in a new kind of warfare. And we need the help of the Spirit of God." Just as America needed the help of God then, we still need His help today. My prayer for our nation is that we will continue to turn to the God of Heaven who has brought us to this day and sustained us every step of the way. #NeverForget
September 11 will never be forgotten.
On that morning in 2001, nearly 3,000 people were killed in attacks on New York, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field. The day changed the country and the world. It also showed courage: first responders who ran toward the fire, and passengers who fought back.
We remember the dead, the families left behind, and the duty that remains. Never forget.
