@Digital_Heretyk I don't know how you've done it, but this is the greatest post in the entire world of Harry Potter. It captures the entire verisimilitude of what two sex-crazed wizards experience each and every moment of their lives. 500 points to Digital_Herwtyk.
@Evil_Dead_Zero The Exorcist wins this one. It's just a better film technically, etc. Saying that, I watch both films and feel sheer joy either way. It's like eating surf & turf: You're allowed to enjoy both proteins.
@AmazingPopPod This film needs a reboot, with a much better first half to build the community. Once Pryce takes over the film with Robards, it is much better... but there are no stakes for much of this film. Still, a good intro to horror for a younger crowd.
@JugglingJelly The results of the midterm will say a helluva lot more about Americans than Trump. If it wasn't so painful for all, the social experiment going on during this presidency is truly a marvel to behold.
@Wokey386579 Yeah, she's the personification of a force of nature that is abused into a state of passive rage. As her resentment grows, so does the danger. Her rage becomes hatred. The problem is that de Palma's film (and Spacek) are too damned good. We think she is the novel's Carrie
@Grav_Amundsen I have a client who could explain issues in two sentences or less who insists on phone calls. For her, it is about control. That's why I hate the phone call. She is stealing time because she feels empowered that way.
@JBStyles23 Both are pretty meh to absolute shite. McD's is marginally better. Do yourself a favour: spend $20 on some local whole beans, grind it as you use it, and taste what actual coffee should taste like--acidity, bright fruit, and not just burnt wood. Your life will be better.
@brohahn@quotesdaily100 Joyce definitely evolves his style as he goes. Ulysses is a tough read, but it is made easier with an annotated edition. Even with Joyce's eccentric style, I still find Ulysses to be a joy. There are other novels I find trickier (A Fable, Parade's End are tough for other reasons)
@unfilteredfhq This tracks... because Scream VII is fucking awful. It's a godawful script, with terrible villains, only viewable because some of the set pieces are filmed with a level of competence.
@AaronTalkHorror I have grown to hate the Conjuring films. The first one is the only one with any self-respect, and it diminishes every time I watch it. Get Out is the better film. Saying that, the intensity of one's first viewing probably saves The Conjuring in this debate.
@WeWatchedAMovie@JoeyA226 I feel like Halloween Ends got studio'd to death. It is 70% brilliance and 30% absolute pandering trash. It's one of those films I wish had about 45 alternative cuts. Bah.
