Tropical Depression Pilandok slighly intensifies.
At 4 a.m. Monday, it was located 1,130 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon.
It now has maximum winds of 55 kph with gusts up to 70 kph and is almost stationary.
LOOK: As of 2:00 AM, August 31, 2026, tropical depression #PilandokPH is still being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to PAGASA.
Two of the three other low-pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored outside PAR have developed into tropical depressions.
LPA 08l has developed into a tropical depression, while LPA 08k (formerly Obet), has redeveloped into tropical depression “Saudel.”
Meanwhile, the remaining LPA 08m, now has a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Tropical Depression Pilandok may weaken into a remnant low pressure area by Tuesday, September 1, over the northern Philippine Sea.
At 10 a.m., it was located 1,225 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon.
LPA UPDATE 🌀
The low pressure area east of Extreme Northern Luzon has entered the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday evening, according to @dost_pagasa.
It has high potential for tropical cyclone formation and will be called #PilandokPH once it develops.
