Police seek public assistance in locating family of deceased person.
We are asking for the public’s help in locating family members of a deceased person whose cremated remains were found by a local subcontractor while completing home renovations in the southwest community of Windsor Park.
📍 On Monday, March 23, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a Calgary contractor attended the Calgary Police Service District 6 office to surrender a wooden cremation urn that he found while renovating a vacant residence in the 500 block of 58 Avenue S.W. The name on the urn is Claude Prenovost 1951-2022.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact and locate next of kin, police are turning to the public in hopes of reuniting the urn with family.
📣 Anyone with information about the urn is asked to contact police.
