positive thinking means trying to find good things in bad things, you can't always find it. acceptance means that wether it's good or bad you'll try to accept it as it is.
as i grew older, i learned that the key to surviving the day isn't positivity, it's acceptance. accepting that not all days are good and happy, you will have bad days, you make mistakes, you fail, you mess up, everything's not going to fall into place and that's okay.
Sometimes people need their space. They're not cutting you off, they just need time to breath and take care of themselves and that has nothing to do with you.
No matter how bad it hurts or how bad you feel, it's time to stop thinking about that person who played with your feelings, who took your love for granted, who never appreciated your care, who wasn't contented with what you could give him or her.
