I’m so emotional after grad school. My best friend is moving to Austin, I’m moving to the Bay Area, and my other best friend is staying in nyc. I’m still trying to convince him to move with me. Help. Is any company looking for a senior swe????
Unfortunately, I totally agree.
When I moved here, I had an F1 visa with health insurance. Then I changed my visa, my company went bankrupt, they couldn’t finish my visa process, and they stopped paying for my health insurance.
I couldn’t afford health insurance for almost 2 years, so I just didn’t go to the hospital.
Then I got a scholarship from Cornell, and honestly, this school basically saved my life. It gave me insurance, friends who felt like family, and at the end of the day, a job.
The healthcare system here is broken. I’m grateful my new job will give me insurance, but nothing is ever guaranteed.
Definitely planning to go back to Europe one day.
