Alexander the Great gives the perfet example on why a nation must first purge domestic traitors and internal enemies to progress and achieve great things. The destruction of Thebes illustrates a timeless principle, that no nation can achieve lasting progress or monumental feats while harboring internal betrayers who invite foreign domination or sabotage unity.
In 335 BC, while Alexander was campaigning in Illyria, rumors spread that he had died. Exploiting this, Theban exiles secretly returned to the city at night, invited by local revolutionaries. They assassinated two Macedonian garrison commanders (Amyntas and Timolaus) in the Cadmeia citadel, then rallied the assembly with promises of "political freedom" and "freedom of speech," urging revolt against the "Macedonian yoke." Believing Alexander was dead, the Thebans rose up. Alexander, learning of the rebellion, marched swiftly from Illyria through Thessaly and Boeotia in just 13 days, surprising the Thebans who still denied his presence (claiming it was another "Alexander, son of Aeropus"). He camped near the city, offering a grace period for surrender and hoping to avoid escalation, especially to protect the Macedonian garrison. The rebels, led by exiles and Boeotarchs with no hope of mercy, rejected peace and fortified against the Cadmeia.
Not primarily Macedonians, but other Greeks like Plataeans, Phocians, and Boeotians, massacred surrendering Thebans in homes, temples, and streets, sparing neither women nor children. The destruction was attributed to divine wrath for Thebes' past betrayals: siding with Persians in the Greco-Persian Wars (Medism=siding with the Persians), destroying Plataea, voting to enslave Athens, and sacking allied lands.
Alexander delegated the aftermath to his allies, who razed Thebes, sold survivors (except priests, Macedonian proxenoi, and Pindar's house) into slavery, and redistributed the land. Plataea and Orchomenus were rebuilt. The Greek allies unanimously supported the annihilation, rooted in centuries of Theban treachery.

Only a nation that treats its globalists and anarchists as Alexander treated the Theban exiles can hope to build the next Alexandria, the next Silk Road, the next manned mission to Mars. Because Thebes was not destroyed for resisting Macedonia, it was destroyed for betraying Greece. Today, any nation that tolerates a class which betrays its own people to anarchist and communist utopias will suffer this same dilemma. To get rid the traitors and thrive, or let them be and vanish in the abyss of non-existance. Purge the internal enemy. Then, and only then, can a nation do great things.
@IranObserver0 What's going on...Iran is the most cowardly nation in the world...You shouldn't even be talking about talks since the 🇺🇸 fleet is at your doorstep‼️
