Jeepers Creepers (2001)
Great lead cast and acting, the supporting cast are not great. There are so many flaws but it’s so fun. It reminds me of the Wrong Turn (2003) franchise, fun but terrible. The final act is so entertaining. Not good but fun.

Jacob's Ladder (1990)
This is so beautifully creepy. It has a fantastic story really well told. The acting is excellent with engaging characters. I especially enjoyed the brilliant direction. It’s an intelligent and thoughtful psychological thriller.

The First Omen (2024)
I was never a big fan of the Omen films but I can appreciate how well made this one is and how well it respects the original film. Probably my favourite Omen. I really like the cast and characters and story.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (2017)
I love this game, possibly the best game ever. The story is highly engaging and beautifully told. Really fun gameplay. It’s hard to stop playing. Spine tingling atmosphere. I can’t praise this game enough.

Ghost Train (2013)
Great cinematography, sound and production design etc. Apart from being well made it is actually pretty boring and pointless with very little actually happening. You don’t see inside the ghost train which is a huge disappointment.

Obsession (2025)
I didn't like the centre framing, it's distracting. It’s a slow burn but when it gets good it’s excellent. It has a simple story and I’m fine with that, it’s predictable but that’s also okay. It’s very much the characters that drive it.

Predator: Killer of Killers (2025)
It's really well made with fantastic sound design and a nice animated style. I'm not really into animation but also I found this very repetitive and formulaic. I didn't hate it but it was exceptionally forgettable.

Predator: Badlands (2025)
Hard to engage with initially as it’s hard to understand their characters. Action heavy, lots of CGI, cool predator costume. Some funny moments. Quite charming and engaging but a bit too sci-fi to be a favourite.

Scream 7 (2026)
I actually liked the intro, it captured the magic of the original but then it just descended into forgettable nothing. It’s not worse than part 6 but it is equally pointless. The exposition and dull characters are what make it pointless.

Phantom of the Mall: Eric's Revenge (1989)
This is the most eighties film ever. The kills are violent but not very gory. It's a pretty bad slasher. Pauly Shore isn't as entertaining as usual. I like the concept, it's the execution that hasn't aged well.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026)
It had a far less obnoxious style and more accessible than 28 Years Later (2025). It had great gore. It was entertaining, it's just not always fun. Great acting. Some slower sections. The fire scene was excellent.

28 Years Later (2025)
I really didn't like the look of it. The gore is good but what's with the random freeze frame quick camera pans? Ruins it. I didn't like the final act. Overall some great moments couldn't save the pretentious lack of entertainment.

28 Weeks Later (2007)
It had a very slow start, like 45 minutes of slow but when it kicks in it does become much more engaging. The last fifteen minutes were anticlimactic. Overall a really entertaining middle with a forgettable start and finish.

28 Days Later (2002)
This is endlessly timeless and beautifully made. What carries it is the great story well paced with engaging characters. It really has phenomenal writing and direction and everything else. One of the best films with negligible faults.

Nightcrawler (2014)
This has a very slow burn. The lead character is highly unlikeable. None of the characters are engaging and the story is fairly uneventful and predictable I really didn't enjoy this film, it's not badly made or anything but it is dull.

Stranger Things Season 5 (2025)
It’s now overacted, overproduced, overwritten, overlit, overused CGI (admittedly the CGI is really good). There are some good moments but not enough. It’s just gotten too grand and is trying to overdeliver.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989)
Black and white, obnoxious music, barely any dialogue, nonexistent story, zero-dimensional characters, this is art house. It's pretty much impossible to watch as it has so little actual entertainment in it.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)
This was easily my least favourite. It was annoying that they changed the actress for Evy, the new one is so much worse. It does look great and has some fun action scenes but it is far too long and not fun.

The Scorpion King (2002)
This is not good at all but it is really entertaining, it feels like it’s deliberately bad and they added comedy to carry the film between the mediocre fight scenes. This could definitely be a guilty pleasure.

The Mummy Returns (2001)
This is worse than the first film. The story is the big issue. The CGI, and in fact the film in general, is pretty flawed but it’s fun to make fun of it. Bad in a good way if you’re into that kind of thing.
