@Suntimes Hear me out on a proposed deal: Give the team a 5-yr window of tax stability (0 taxes) to get the stadium & area up and running. After that, tie future tax breaks directly to winning (Division/Conference/Super Bowl). If you want the public’s tax dollars, keep the team competitive

@themodpun The Bears get a sweet deal for Soldier Field today & The park district actually makes 80- 90% more from concerts and other events than the Bears games. The Bears want to take that revenue away from the city and park district by building their own stadium.

@themodpun I love the Bears - however they only play 8-9 home games a year. No one is flying into Hammond, IN & staying there as a tourist. People will still go to bars and restaurants in Chicago to watch the games & order food on apps. We didn’t loose - the people finally won..

@IllinoisReview I love the Bears but I don’t care if they move to Indiana fuckem. We have to normalize putting tax payers first, we don’t get a discount on taxes, we live, work & contribute to the local economy, we play by the rules. Bears make 700 million a year & you don’t want to pay.. fuckem

@WallStreetApes I love the Bears - but fuckem, It’s just a football stadium - No one is giving the residents of Cook county a tax break. We the people, get caught holding the bag.. let the people of Indiana pay for them with there tax dollars. I’ll make the drive from time to time.
