That’s a common misconception. sperm can still be present in precum because sperm remaining in the urethra or, in some people, sperm entering the pre-ejaculate can mix with it. Studies have found sperm in the pre-cum of some men. Sperms are mostly present.

Pre cum can cause pregnancy. It doesn’t mean it always does, but it absolutely can. Pregnancy happens when even one healthy sperm fertilizes an egg. The question isn’t whether pre cum is supposed to contain sperm, it’s whether sperm can be present in it.

@itx_Millie That’s why doctors don’t recommend relying on the pull-out method by itself. If pre-cum could never cause pregnancy, withdrawal would be nearly 100% effective. So yes, it can cause a pregnancy
