Robbers looted Bank ATM by tying it to a Mahindra Thar SUV in Odisha's Balasore district early on Saturday. The incident took place at around 2 am in Tudigadia Bazaar area.
In last 3 months, the Central Government has sold stakes in Central Bank of India, Coal India, NHPC, NLC India, General Insurance Corporation (GIC) and Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), raising around ₹20,000 crore.
The Government is decreasing its stake not only in Banks but also in other public sector companies. So far, the government has raised around ₹20,000 crore through disinvestment. This is already higher than the ₹16,885 crore collected during the entire previous financial year. Government aims to collect Rs.80,000 Crore this year by selling its stake in PSUs.

The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors has approved a $890 million financing package to support India’s rooftop solar programme. The funding aims to help more people install rooftop solar systems and reduce their electricity bills.
The package includes an $820 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), a $60 million concessional loan from the Clean Technology Fund, and a $10 million grant from the IBRD’s Livable Planet Fund.
An alleged ₹35–40 lakh financial irregularity has been reported at an SBI Customer Service Point in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh. Kiosk operator Gopal Singh Rajput is reportedly missing, while customers have alleged that money was withdrawn from their accounts without receiving cash and some deposits were not credited.

Another Odisha-type incident has been reported from a bank in Jharkhand. A tribal man's death in Jharkhand's Garhwa district has sparked a protest after his family alleged that he could not withdraw money from his bank account in Jharkhand Gramin Bank account.
The man has been identified as Ratan Lakra. The family members and local villagers reached the bank on Monday with the body of Ratan Lakra and staged a sit-in protest. They said that money was available in his bank account, but they were unable to withdraw it due to pending KYC.
Bank has denied all allegations.

The Bharatiya Kisan Union locked the branch of Punjab National Bank in Yamunanagar, protesting against loan recovery. The farmers gathered outside the Punjab National Bank at Vishwakarma Chowk in Yamunanagar city.
A farmer named Mohan Singh, a resident of Jammu Colony, had taken a home loan of approximately 10 lakh rupees from Punjab National Bank. Both of Mohan Singh's sons have passed away, leaving the family without a stable source of income.
Bharatiya Kisan Union said that Mohan Singh is going through a financial crisis and demanded that his loan should be waived off and he should not be forced to deposit money.
