A labour of love. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I read, watched, listened widely just so I could articulate some of the things I’ve been pondering for months! ❤️

Trying to get this sub out by the feast of St Joseph the Worker. It’s my first long form essay that references him extensively as husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus and his role as model of faith. Still feeling very hopeful about my ETA, thank you for all your prayers🥺❤️
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
The homily was exactly what I needed for the week ahead. Happy Corpus Christi Sunday — Heaven swept low to be with us in our daily pursuits. Let’s never forget that. Ever. ❤️❤️
I love being Catholic. After realising there was no evening Mass at ours, we drove to the nearest church for their 7pm Mass and discovered it’s a parish run by the Passionists, how cool is that?
I’m amazed at people who are addicted to consuming content that triggers them.
Can never be me. If the algorithm starts to move weird, I immediately start pushing the “not interested” and “show less content like this” buttons.
One idea that has revolutionized my thinking is this: you are allowed to not want things.
You can look at everything society tells you that you need to have and just be like, “Nope. I will not be participating.”
We have to be so mindful of the communities we are in and the content we consume. There are people building massive platforms that are driven by hate and insecurity who lack imagination that the world can be better.
Corpus Christi is more than just another celebration on the liturgical calendar. It is a way of returning to the heart of the faith to renew our love and fidelity to God. It is a profession of faith in the presence of the Risen Lord, who is alive and continues to walk among us, who becomes bread to satiate our hunger for life, and visits the recesses of our hearts and history, even those shrouded in darkness. #ApostolicJourney https://t.co/CFODkhPd0Q
Adultery is when a married person has sexual relations with someone who isn't their spouse. Even if it is just a one-time thing, it counts. Even just lusting after someone else in your mind is considered a form of adultery. It is completely forbidden. In the Bible, prophets compared adultery to idolatry (cheating on God by worshiping fake gods) because both are major betrayals.
Pope Leo XIV on the papal plane to Spain:
“Do [young people] want to see Bad Bunny or do they want to see the pope? Many will go see Bad Bunny, but I think there will also be a few here to see the pope. And that says something, you know.”
