Thread: At yesterday's governing council meeting for @isanet, a motion was put forward calling for end to genocide, adoption of BDS, and commitment to aid in reconstruction of Gaza. The president blindsided us by declaring the motion out of order, denying any discussion or vote
We spent weeks crafting a motion in BDS and even though it made the agenda the chair of the meeting (pres of @isanet) did not allow discussion nor a vote on it. When members of the governing council protested they were muted. When we held up signs our videos were turned off.
