Teaching the comprehension strategy ‘Activating Prior Knowledge’. They will be reading a book this week and were given ten words (teacher chosen) from the text. Students worked in pairs to create an introduction using the key words. Post-it notes make the key words stand out.

This class was learning about visualisation and wrote detailed character descriptions. They read their descriptions to another class and they had to draw what they thought the character looked like. So many talking points after the lesson! #cleverbeanians
