One of the best restaurant meals I've ever had.
Eating #veganglutenfree isn't easy in Japan but it's possible and restaurants like Slow Luck Vegetable Bal in Kanazawa make it effortless.
The dishes were small sharing plates and came one at a time.
Starting with raw yam and kiwi fruit seasoned with sesame oil. Delicate, crunchy and fresh.
Followed by tofu dumplings in a zingy ginger sauce. Complex and straight forward.
Next up were simply roasted seasonal veg. Seasonal perfectly and cooked so the texture and taste hung beautifully together.
Last but not least a curried rice porridge. This knocked the socks off any risotto I've ever had. Subtle and flavorful. The tiny mushrooms were wonderful.
I haven't eaten out yet because I can't find anywhere that caters for me that I can get too easily. I did however find a few bakeries and there are some good cakes on the horizon.
