@scaredmyguitar although not the same genre, for me an example of a bad adaptation is netflix’s atla. it has strayed to far from the source material that it’s often mischaracterizes a lot of its characters and can be quite irritating if you watched the original show. all in all there’s way worse
@scaredmyguitar there are way worse adaptations out there that made me so much more irritated than this (and that’s that agggtm 1 never did make me frustrated). i think the hate was blown way out of proportion.
@scaredmyguitar yea, i definitely never thought jt was the absolute worst adaptation i had ever seen and still enjoy it when i go back to it every so often. i do miss something’s that were taken out but its not like i ever got frustrated for things not being 100% the same.
@blakeverdeen the anger i felt when i ran into that one tiktok claiming that pip has more chemistry with others than ravi and that her and max are the better ship. i was furiously clicking on my screen to make it go away.
@Wyniethepooh7 me laughing my ass off at the idea that bro scaled up and down the front of her house in broad daylight just to type on her computer like ok😭
@willas_clair the way i’m trying to keep my composure while watching it with my sister (she’s never read any of the books) so that she’s not suspicious whenever the season does come out😭
@canaryuri@uukhanu damn was it really that bad??? i originally watched the show back in 2012/13 but wasn’t chronically online at that time but was so happy it was put on netflix in 2020 but i just watched it and went about my day and didn’t see much discourse around the show online😭
@flameohotman112 i remember when i watched this the first time i was dumbfounded by what he had said and i genuinely sat there like “there is no way aang would say that to her.” it’s too bad considering i liked the casting for both aang and katara + some of the other characters.
