NEW: Ontario NDP ad for Scarborough-Southwest candidate Fatima Shaban opens with reference to Ford’s private jet, says she doesn’t have time for this “nonsense,” and speaks about hiring more nurses & doctors and banning predatory pricing https://t.co/SaM86tcpBs #onpoli
#BREAKING: The Ontario PC Caucus voted to keep the tax on food and let grocery giants keep ripping you off.
The Ontario NDP is the only party fighting to put money back in your pocket.
The Premier always says that he’s in it for the “little guy”. If he is, he’d support our motion on Wednesday to scrap the tax on groceries.
Our tax cut is for the mom working multiple jobs, getting home late, picking up a rotisserie chicken and salad so she can try to get her kids to soccer on time. It’s for the working guy in Etobicoke, who grabs his lunch at the grocery store on his way to work in the morning.
The Premier has the opportunity to do the right thing and say YES.
I left the OLP because it's not materially progressive, and I hope NES' supporters will see through partisan politics and consider voting for a truly progressive party.
At a time when the cost of living crisis is peaking, the ONDP is the only Party putting forward bold progressive policies that limit the harms of capitalism & have an immediate material impact on ppl's lives, such as banning surveillance pricing & scrapping consumer tax on food.
@JoshMatlow Sorry Josh, but the @OntLiberal have shown they do not care about their supporters. I will no longer be supporting them and will be voting for @MaritStiles & the @OntarioNDP
Doug Ford mocked students for taking “basket-weaving courses” and blowing OSAP money on “luxury watches and colognes.”
A new report shows less than 1% of OSAP funds were misused.
Less. Than. 1%.
He invented a crisis to cut student aid – then pulled $30 million from people’s pockets to buy himself a luxury private jet.
I’ll keep fighting this government until the cuts to OSAP are reversed.
This is what Mark Carney is actively doing to Canada while liberal cultists cheer him on and pretend this isn't just textbook neoliberalism that has been making us worse off for decades.
The Province has introduced legislation to unilaterally take City land at Bathurst and Queen's Quay. That includes paving over Little Norway Park - probably for a parking lot.
Council is meeting today, I am bringing an urgent motion to oppose it and fight back. Unilaterally taking City land is not acceptable. Who knows what they will take next.
What if the person next to you is paying a different price for the same thing? An algorithm decided that. 🏷️💵
Watch to the end to find out how – then go to https://t.co/ml28afQU57 and tell every Conservative MPP to vote YES to banning predatory pricing.
ICE has been unleashing lawlessness in the streets and killing civilians in broad daylight. It’s disappointing that the Premier celebrated these contracts with ICE, because we know what’s happening south of the border doesn’t align with our values as Canadians and as Ontarians. We need to cancel the ICE contract and stop compromising our values. Ontario needs to create stable opportunities for our manufacturing sector instead of increasing our reliance on the United States. Let’s get our world-class workforce and manufacturers on made-in-Canada, built-in-Canada projects that strengthen our economy 🇨🇦🍁
