@tobiasrogers I agree - Concept alone isn't enough of a factor to determine success in PM. I found that claims of PM courses being THE path to PM is a bit misleading.
More on the musicality of Barcelonians. This morning, we heard a man belting out the lyrics to Dragostea Din Tei (the numa numa song) and it was a total vibe. My only regret was not joining him. :/
@dbustac Working in a different timezone than the majority of my remote colleagues has been a surprise gift of remote work for me. A kind of timezone arbitrage.
Took me 4 full days in Barcelona to realize, it isn't my HS-level Spanish has completely degraded (only partially)...it's just that everything is Catalan.
@PMDiegoGranados This becomes so much more important as one PMs at larger orgs. The value comes from empowering your partners to make creative contributions.
It's difficult to trade the pace of progress in exchange for deeper understanding.
But it's in these moments where choosing to dig deeper pays dividends in the future.
@Jenyangwong It's also important to keep in mind why a process/structure was originally put in place + frequently question if it's still serving it's intended purpose.
