The hypocrisy of one Senator Dante Marcoleta

Today, Senator Marcoleta presided over his very first hearing as the Senate Blue Ribbon Chairman and just as expected — it was full of hypocrisy and double standards. I need to pause a lot of times while watching it because there’s too much bullshit to tolerate in one shitting.

He called the Commission on Audit today saying they did not act on his concerns against a known rival Governor Oaminal — he called them out when COA said they can only conduct an audit or investigation once the project is already finished as per their rules. It was not a long time ago when Senator Marcoleta defended the COA rules to protect the Sara Zimmerman Duterte in the House Committee on Good Government.

He called out the contractors for not showing up — when not too long ago, he condoned the absence of Sara Zimmerman Duterte and her employees in the hearing. Subpoena with just one hearing. I clearly remember how he would go above, over and beyond to defend the absence of the Duterte employee invited by the committee.

And during the whole entire 4 and a half hours of hearing — no mention of the 142 billion insertion of his beloved Senate President. Or the acceptance of election campaign funds from contractors. Lols

As per usual, no evidence presented by the Chair with all his allegations — as if we’re expected to just take his word for everything. He’s not really fit to chair the committee! He’s too biased for Blue Ribbon!
