π°π 86 days have passed β 18 brave Cambodian soldiers remain unjustly held under Thai military captivity.
Their families wait in agony, their children still hoping.
Cambodia calls once more: Release them now.
Justice cannot wait any longer. β

This is what life looks like right now in Prey Chan, Banteay Meanchey. The man in this photo has lived here for 40 years.
A friend of mine who travels to the border regularly and understands Khmer culture shared this photo and story firsthand. Thailand now claims he βinvaded Thai territory.β But for decades, the Cambodian government and local people built roads, ran electricity, installed water wells, and cleared landmines here.
Now his home and rice fields are behind razor wire. Thai soldiers came at night, forced families out, and blocked the road that connects them to their own land.
They call this man an aggressor. But look at him. Heβs disabled, standing in front of his home that he can no longer reach.
His only wish is peace. Even as soldiers bulldoze his fields and threaten violence, he has shown restraint and dignity.
Thailand has millions of square kilometers. Why take the few meters that feed his family? This is not defense. Itβs cruelty. Stop the aggression. Talk to your neighbors. Peace starts by telling the truth.
π°π Day 73 of Injustice
It has been 73 days since 18 Cambodian soldiers were captured under the captivity of the Thai military.
Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to release them immediately, so they may be safely reunited with their families in accordance with international humanitarian law.
Justice delayed is humanity denied.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate: In truth, I did not wish to speak about this issue. However, remaining silent may lead the Thai leadership to remain unaware, and the international community to misunderstand the situation. The CambodiaβThailand border conflict has shifted from a war using weapons to one involving slingshots loaded with ball bearings and metal pellets.
At first glance, this may seem like a trivial or even humorous matter. But upon deeper examination, it is a serious issue.
If we do not intervene, it will escalate from slingshots to the use of all kinds of weapons, ultimately destroying the ceasefire agreement painstakingly reached by the Cambodian and Thai leaderships, with active mediation by the Prime Minister of Malaysia and participation from China and the United States.
As for Cambodia, if such actions are taking place, I urge the Royal Government to issue immediate orders to military forces to halt their use.
I also hope the Thai leadership will issue similar orders to their military to cease the use of weapons, as reflected in the attached images.
