My story about her is as unpleasant as this latest kerfuffle. I spent three years researching a book on the global sex trade, which remains the most comprehensive investigation into its harms, but she refused to use it as evidence to argue against further liberalisation of our laws on prostitution and pimping. She would not invite me to a meeting in Parliament to discuss my findings, because, as I was told from the horses mouth, “the transphobia is a big problem for us with Bindel”.
