When soil is healthy, water stays and farmers' incomes multiply.
At a Delhi press conference, Cauvery Calling showcased a proven approach to addressing two of agriculture's biggest challenges: water security and farmer prosperity.
Healthy, carbon-rich soil acts like a sponge—absorbing rainfall, recharging groundwater, and supporting crops through changing climate conditions. Tree-based agriculture helps make this possible while creating additional income streams for farmers.
The results speak for themselves.
Valluvan, a farmer from Tamil Nadu and UN FAO Soil Health Guardian 2024, shared how he transformed his farm through tree-based agriculture—growing his income from ₹30,000 to ₹3,00,000 per acre per year while significantly improving soil health.
🌱 13.4 crore trees planted
🤝 2.5 lakh farmers engaged
🌍 A scalable model that brings ecology and economy together

Right from childhood, if you are miserable, you get attention. If you are joyful, you get scolded. This must change. Joy should get attention, not misery. If a child learns that being unwell brings attention, they will naturally invest in being unwell.

World Environment Day: Growing a Greener Future with Cauvery Calling | Save Soil 🌱
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Kanimozhi Santhosh, MLA for Kavundampalayam Constituency, graced the event at Isha Yoga Center alongside students from Sadhguru Gurukulam Samskriti and Isha Vidhya, marking the launch of this year’s ambitious mission to facilitate the plantation of 1.2 crore saplings across the Cauvery basin. 🌱
As part of this initiative, 24 events were organized across Tamil Nadu under #CauveryCalling and #SaveSoil, with Hon’ble Ministers and MLAs participating in a collective effort to support ecological restoration and promote tree-based agriculture. 🌍
Cauvery Calling has facilitated the plantation of 13.4 crore saplings overall, supporting 2.6 lakh farmers in adopting tree-based agriculture.
Temple Cleaning Drive in Action 🌿
Volunteers from Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru conducted a temple cleaning drive at Jalari Narasimha Swami Temple to serve, inspire, and care for the spaces we cherish.
A simple act of service that fosters responsibility and inspires conscious action.
This summer, around 450 teachers are attending workshops to better align with Isha Vidhya's student-centric, activity-based approach to teaching. Over 2–4 days, they sharpen their skills, draw inspiration from one another, and bond during informal game rounds.
Healthy soil supports the food we grow, helps regulate water cycles, stores carbon, and sustains countless forms of life. Revitalizing soil is not just about agriculture—it is about securing a healthier future for people and the planet.

Of the 405 Class 12 students who passed this year, 216 were girls. Half of those scoring centums and distinctions were girls as well, and over 200 of the 358 scholarship recipients were girls. Bravo!
An aggregate score of 76% reflects every student's drive to excel.
It's easy to call it dirt.
But healthy soil helps mitigate climate change, supports biodiversity, protects against droughts and floods, and forms the foundation of our food and water systems.
It's more than "just dirt."

This World Environment Day, climate action remains central to building a more resilient future.
One of the most important systems supporting that future lies right beneath our feet: soil.
Healthy soil plays a vital role in carbon storage, water retention, food security, and ecosystem health.
Over the coming days, we will be exploring the connection between climate and soil, and why it matters for long-term ecological resilience.

Sometimes, all it takes is one moment of awareness to change the direction of a life.
After learning about the scale of global soil degradation, Sousan Samadani — at the age of 65 — chose to dedicate herself fully to raising awareness for soil.
She traveled across countries, volunteered at campaign events, cycled long distances, hitchhiked, skydived, and carried one message wherever she went:
Healthy soil is essential for life.
Her story is a reminder that meaningful action does not depend on age, background, or profession. It begins with involvement.
Because the future of food, water, climate, and biodiversity begins beneath our feet.
